The helicopters of DCI Group participate in the 14 July 2023 parade

The helicopters of DCI group, the operator for the French Ministry for the Armed Forces, participate for the first time in the 14 July 2023 parade alongside the fleet of the French army's light aviation unit (ALAT)

For the first time, the helicopters of Défense Conseil International (DCI) will participate in the 14 July parade alongside the fleet of the French army’s light aviation unit (ALAT).  Since 2008, DCI Group, via its subsidiary Helidax, has made available a fleet of 36 H120 Calliope helicopters to the French armed forces for their pilot training needs within the French military helicopter pilot training school (EALAT) located at DAX[1].

The EALAT, a joint, interministerial and international school, trains the pilots of the French Army, French Air and Space Force, French Navy and Gendarmerie and of the Belgian Armed Forces.

Integrated into the two school bases of EALAT (Dax and Le Cannet des Maures), DCI Group also directly trains many pilots of foreign armed forces, in particular African forces, within its International Helicopter Training Centre (CIFH) of Dax.

DCI Group is the operator for the Ministry for the Armed Forces for the transfer of know-how to France’s partner countries. A state-controlled company, an emanation of the French Armed Forces and the DGA, its raison d’être is to contribute to the influence of France and more particularly of the Ministry for the Armed Forces. The mission of DCI, with nearly 1,000 employees with a large majority of military on secondment or recently retired, is in particular to contribute to the implementation of the international cooperation strategy of the Ministry for the Armed Forces by delivering military training in all the fields of excellence of our armed forces.

In this context, DCI intervenes in the training of fighter pilots, submarine crews or special forces worldwide.

Within this framework, it has developed, over its 50 years of existence, trust relationships with 50 partner countries of France and currently tends to reinforce its links with several African and Eastern European countries, given the geopolitical context.

DCI Group is also the partner of the French armed forces to provide them with capability solutions in terms of training or means availability, as with the helicopters of EALAT.

[1] DCI Group is the first H120 operator worldwide, with a fleet of 40 helicopters including 36 helicopters at its subsidiary HeliDax and 4 at the International Helicopter Training Centre (CIF-H), also located at Dax. HeliDax maintains these 40 machines and has now developed in-service support (ISS) and helicopter modernization services for other customers.
