EU & NATO projects

In the summer of 2023, Defense Conseil International was accredited by the European Commission as an operator of funds delegated by the European Union, in particular the European Peace Facility (EPF). In practice, DCI is designated by the Council of the EU to implement EU assistance measures. These are defence capabilities that the EU decides to finance for a certain number of partner countries: strengthening the capacity for surveillance and interception of drones at its borders for one, providing the capacity for better control of its territorial waters for another, strengthening the chain of care and treatment of those wounded in operations for the last. It’s a mark of confidence that DCI is proud of, because we are recognised for our speed, our rigour, and our ability to bring together expertise on complex issues.
More recently, in February 2025, NATO granted us an equivalent status: that of executive agent to implement Defense Capacity Building (DCB) initiatives for the benefit of NATO partners.
These activities have given us access to new geographies, corresponding to the “arc of crisis”: the countries of the Eastern neighbourhood and the Balkans (Moldavia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Northern Macedonia), the countries of the Middle East (Jordan, Egypt) and Africa (Mauritania, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Congo, Somalia, countries bordering Lake Chad as part of the Multinational Joint Task Force.
